Let the kettle go!

Letting go is like heating a kettle: if you keep watching, the water won't boil. If you forget, the kettle will explode. But if you let go, you'd soon realize it's boiling just the way you wanted it. So if you really want something, first--you have to let it go.

Letting go doesn't really mean you have to give it up. When we let go of things (or people), we don't worry about them, look after them, demand them..or even prioritize them. We just..let them live the way they wanted to. Yes, we wait for our hopes and dreams (and the people that we want to spend a lifetime with), but it always prevails in the right time. This also doesn't mean we don't care at all. Because if we don't, it would mean we have forgotten them.

Letting go is a confident act of being aware that despite the fact that we aren't looking, we KNOW and have faith that they will arrive. And we wait patiently and cheerfully. We do our own stuff. We keep ourselves busy. We improve ourselves in preparation for that dream.

What most people understand about letting go is actually a bad, bitter decision. That's why most people won't let go--because they are afraid of losing them.

One might ask, "How come others didn't get what they wanted?"

I might not know the entire reason, but one thing's for sure: they gave it up.

People tend to be impatient. So instead of dreaming to buy that awesome black convertible, they settle for a second-hand hatchback. They buy a cheaper, more fragile house. They change courses. They marry someone else.

Our hearts may be deceiving, but I believe God doesn't give us a lying heart. Meaning, we live with our dreams. We spend our emotions with it. And it's our hearts that envision it. I believe God gave us a heart to long for a goal that we want to happen in our lives--not what makes us bitter!

It's not wrong to dream about getting rich, or to be famous, or to be the wife of your best friend's boyfriend; as long as you know what to do, and what you do is right (and you are patient enough to deal with it). Things change, people change, fate changes. But your mind brings you to your destiny. When you say, 'I want it!' you have to claim it in your heart without doubting, WHATEVER IT TAKES, even if it seems to be the most-impossible thing that could happen.

Your mind controls your journey, and if you know and believe in yourself you'll get it, you will.

But always remind yourself--

Let go first. And the rest will follow.
