Mala-anghel na bangungot (Angelic nightmare)

This poem is dedicated to a new close friend of mine who has been experiencing the deepest emotions for a special soul in his heart.

Paulit-ulit man ang araw at gabi

Maluwag man ang iyong pakikitungo

--English--

The morning shine greets once again
Forcing my eyes to open
Though I feel the difficulty of my breath
I slowly get up from my daily bed

Though night and day may come endlessly
There's no growth between our story, anyway
I may run the fastest just for you
Your destination is yet the farthest.

In each day of my pretentious smile
Every struggle of my aching heart
And as though you may have this 'innocent' welcome
You still have a cold intention

How I wish to erase this deep longing
Whenever I see you, my plans are easily shattered
Still confused whether to remain and be still
For my soul is now deeply tortured

I long to look for another entertainment
Just to forget the pain I'm feeling
But you are like an angelic nightmare
that resides in my innocent mind

One day you will also fade
But as long as I love you, I'll keep crying
For your wandering heart is as hard as stone
In every door of someone's soul, you keep coming in.

  1. Ouch!

I think we've all been through this, but as Ms. Tweet Sering said last night, we all have to allow ourselves to go through this pain because it will get us eventually where we should be.

The last lines actually reminded me of the writing style of (a great poet, one of my influences) named Odilia Rivera Santos. It leaves you hungry, after keeping you lonely (the poem, I mean). Kudos!

And thanks for giving a voice to my poems last night.

    1. Thanks for the encouraging comment--for a great poet like you, that opinion is priceless. :) I will write more poems; especially that there's a great person who humbly adores my works. :)
