If You Could Have One Wish…

If you could have one wish that would come true and 50% of the world’s population would have it too, what would it be?

Wishes upon a star,  a genie living from a peculiar lamp buried in the sand, or probably from a random flying fairy godmother would be the funniest thing you’d ever encounter in real life. But what the heck? If it comes true, why not?

There are tons of possible wishes anybody would want. Fame, money, eternal youth—you name it. But if there’s a condition tailing it, we need to think twice about our decision-making.

If I have one wish that would also benefit half of the population of the world, it would be, to get 100,000円 per day. 

Why not a million dollars? You might ask. 

Again. Half of the population would receive it. It’s not enough to some, it could be a lot to a number of people, I guess it doesn’t matter. But a million dollars would mean too much already for a dozen people, and people become greedy in time, so no. Not a million dollars. Ten long Japanese bills is enough for a day, and it could cost less for criminals to make, I guess.

How will I receive them?

I have a particular green cash card that would allow me to receive that amount of money per day, whether it’s a weekend or a holiday. It won’t matter, as long as I am alive. 

I’d still live a normal life, still go to work, still teach in school. BUT at this point, because I get money everyday, I don’t have to work full time. It would only be on days that I have classes to teach. 

On weekends, I would spend it with my husband, travel somewhere, shop somewhere, eat somewhere. Oh, and he doesn’t have to work, too! (That would be the best part for him!)

Why still work? You got a lot of money EVERYDAY?  You might ask.

See, that’s the deal. I need to be discreet about it. I need to “act” normal. I need to look ordinary, without others being suspicious about it. I don’t need to look like I’m living the life. I need to look like everyone else, just having a normal, good life!

If ever that happens, that would be awesome! I would care less about what the rest would do with their money, all I care about is how I would use it and with whom I would use it. No drugs, no gambling, just live a normal life. 

 I know, it sounds boring to you. But it’s my wish, and if that happens, hell, yeah. That would really be awesome!
