Daydream
I close my eyes
Thoughts begin to multiply with pictures of you
as they animate, entangling the stretch of time
I open my eyes and you were there
We were in your parked car
in a place so familiar
where autumn leaves flow like an endless falls
You lifted my chin, as I looked back at your tiny eyes
I knew what you wanted to happen
and my heart began to race
I close my eyes, as I felt your lips touch mine
I responded, though a bit embarrassed
Yet the moment was though I was floating in thin air
A smile, reaching my ears
But I knew it was just more than that.
I open my eyes, to see nothing but my room
I realized it was over.
And then my phone rings
It was you.
Thoughts begin to multiply with pictures of you
as they animate, entangling the stretch of time
I open my eyes and you were there
We were in your parked car
in a place so familiar
where autumn leaves flow like an endless falls
You lifted my chin, as I looked back at your tiny eyes
I knew what you wanted to happen
and my heart began to race
I close my eyes, as I felt your lips touch mine
I responded, though a bit embarrassed
Yet the moment was though I was floating in thin air
A smile, reaching my ears
But I knew it was just more than that.
I open my eyes, to see nothing but my room
I realized it was over.
And then my phone rings
It was you.
