Being Human
Though others may think crying is weakness,
I see it as strength, for admitting defeat
for witnessing fear, for committing failure
for feeling pain and releasing everything.
Each tear we shed is a part of letting go
A moment of confession, that we cannot be alone
A natural emotion that nobody can deny
A walk away from pain and of welcoming grief.
For when we cry, we all conceive
A need of a higher being, or a friend to lend a hand
A grasp of right to keep our hearts beating
A longing of rescue, for empathy and relief.
There is no man who doesn't emit a tear
for when we are born, it is also born with us.
There's no wrong in crying, it is a natural face
Every drop of it is a definition of being human.
